Six TotK’s Magnetic Zonai Device Capsules Added
Nintendo Tokyo has enriched its gachapon, or gacha machine, with a new collection of magnetic capsule toys inspired by Zonai Devices from The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. This exclusive set, available only at the Tokyo store, brings to life six iconic in-game devices: the Zonai Fan, Flame Emitter, Portable Pot, Shock Emitter, Big Wheel, and Rocket. Each capsule not only houses these delightful replicas but also includes a magnet designed to mimic the Ultrahand’s adhesive material, enhancing the play and display experience. The capsules themselves are crafted to resemble those from TotK’s Device Dispenser, adding an authentic touch to the collection.
Instead of using Zonai Charges or Construct materials as in the game, enthusiasts can acquire these coveted items by spending around $4 per capsule. Purchases are limited to two capsules per attempt, and fans looking to try their luck again will need to queue up once more. Given the immense popularity of Tears of the Kingdom, expect long lines at the Nintendo Store in Tokyo.
Previous Nintendo’s Gachapon Prizes
Nintendo's foray into gachapon began with the Controller Button Collections in June 2021, available at their stores in Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto. This initial release captivated fans with six controller keychains split between Famicom and NES designs. The excitement continued with the second wave in July 2024, showcasing beloved designs from the SNES, N64, and Gamecube controllers.
For those unable to visit the Nintendo Store in Tokyo, the Zonai Devices may eventually be available at other locations.
