Capcom has rolled out an exciting new feature in *Monster Hunter Wilds* that lets players tweak their hunter and Palico appearances. The first edit comes at no cost, but any further changes will require you to purchase Character Edit Vouchers. These vouchers are sold in packs of three for $6 or as a bundled set for both characters for $10. Without these vouchers, your customization options are limited to just hairstyles, eyebrow color, makeup, and clothing; you won't be able to touch the core facial features.

Surprisingly, this monetization system was kept under wraps during the game's early previews and only surfaced last week via Capcom's social media channels. Despite the controversies around microtransactions and some performance hiccups, *Monster Hunter Wilds* smashed records with over 1.3 million concurrent players on Steam at launch.
As of now, Capcom hasn't responded to the community's feedback on this new system. Fans are voicing their discontent with the paid customization model, drawing unfavorable comparisons to earlier games in the series where such changes were free or could be earned using in-game currency. Many believe this move detracts from what used to be a cherished aspect of the franchise.
