Bimmer-Tool empowers you to diagnose and maintain your BMW with ease. This app provides comprehensive functionality for reading and clearing fault codes, initiating DPF regeneration, accessing live engine data, and much more. While functionality is somewhat limited for pre-2008 models (K+DCAN USB cable connection recommended), newer vehicles benefit from broader support.

**Quick Start Guide:**
- Connect adapter to OBD II port.
- Turn ignition on.
- Connect adapter to your phone (USB, Bluetooth, or WiFi).
- Launch the app, select your car's model and year.
- Choose your connection type, adapter type, and communication protocol.
- Tap "Connect."
**Limitations:** Pre-2008 models (e46/e39/e83/e53) require K+DCAN cable; only the engine ECU is supported. Wireless ELM adapter connection may be impossible.
**Common Problems:**
- "No response" error (pre-2007, BT/WiFi): Try ATWM in advanced settings.
- No connection: Force stop diagnostic apps, restart your phone, and try again.
Permission Rationale: Storage (USB), Photos/Media/Files (CSV), Bluetooth (Bluetooth adapters), Network Access (WiFi), Approximate Location (Bluetooth, not used).
